Faith, Love & PEACE!

"Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels."   2 Timothy 2:22-24

In life, it is difficult many times to be the bigger person and walk away from a "fight or quarrel", but here in 2nd Timothy, we are instructed to do so.  Wouldn't it be GREAT if EVERYONE walked around with FAITH, LOVE & PEACE on their minds all the time!  I often used to think of myself as a defender of the weak or quick to jump to someones defense.  Although I don't like controversy, I am not afraid to speak up for what I believe in....The problem was, it led to me sometimes thinking my way was always the right way and would cause me to react quickly out of anger.  I recently had a "quarrel" with someone in business, I actually maintained my temper and didn't feel angry at all...even as I was being attacked.  This person even accused me of not making a Godly decision which any other time would have angered me.  How dare anyone question my decision making right?!   I was surprised at my self-control............but, I was also on my knees for about 48 hours seeking God's guidance through it all!  And God spoke the solution to me so loudly that it awoke me in the night and He gave me the solution on what to do.  Once again....the words SEEK GOD are on my mind..............You see, I know if I had tried to handle this type of problem with out God, the outcome would have been terrible!  But because I was obedient and really prayed my way through, God blessed me for it!  I lost a business deal over something I truly believed in and sought my God for wisdom in truth and He BLESSED ME for it!   AWESOME!  So...that sting we sometimes feel when something doesn't go our way, can be blessed by God if we are His FAITHFUL, LOVING, PEACE FULL Servant!  

I  PRAISE YOU HEAVENLY FATHER for WISDOM and YOUR LOVE and YOUR PEACE that passes ALL UNDERSTANDING!
